What is "Dust Explosion" ?

Dust explosion is the phenomenon which occurs when the combustionable dust comes into contact with an ignition source.
In flour mil for example, the bulk flour is transported through pneumatic conveyor by air. If the flour continues to accumulate and build up around the silo or tank, it is easily fueled with the broken fluorescent light. In that situation, quick combustion process could contribute to the huge explosion.  
Many plants have dusty working environment. Furthermore, the machineries or fluorescent light are the potential ignition source when highly concentrated dust is present.
